A NOTE ABOUT "WORSHIP" FROM AARON:

People have been saying it for years... but apparently there's been a recent emphasis on the true meaning of worship not being simply reserved for song-time at church once a week. Recent communicators like Louie Giglio and Rob Bell have personally shaped my thinking on the subject, but the apostle Paul said it along time ago in his letter to the Romans: "...offer your bodies as living sacrifices...this is your spiritual act of worship." (Rom 12:1)

While I act the role of a 'worship leader' at times, I understand this is only a socially acceptable term that describes a person who leads the singing at a Christian function and directs people to look to the perfection of Christ during that song time. But frankly, as God's creation, ALL of us are called to point people to Him, proclaiming His worth! And i believe that makes all of us worship leaders!

This section is not only designed to aid those 'worship leaders' who desire to more easily use some of my music and/or thoughts in their own moments of leading others to the Throne of God, but to help enhance Anybody's desire to experience deeper daily worship.

Steve has been a member of Perimeter Church's teaching team for a while and has incredible thoughts that are more real, gritty and down to earth than most communicators. He is a good friend and I could listen to him speak for hours. I don't have a Grandfather in my life, and feel like Steve is the kind of Grandfather I would love to be, telling stories, loving people and pointing them to Jesus.

Mainly led by Randy Schlichting, a personal friend and mentor, this blog causes me to be reminded about what daily worship really means and challenges my thinking. This page also has a link to buy Perimeter Church's latest worship offering. This was recorded in August 2006 (when I was in Bolivia with Compassion) with my good friends, Eric Gilbert, Jeff Wreyford and Laura Story (who wrote a little song called "Indescribable") leading the church in singing. This is a fantastic worship record...(and if you want a great live version of My Savior My God...this is the only way to get it!)

An incredible little book about how the One True Story has affected every story we tell or enjoy, especially made evident by Hollywood's blockbusters! It has changed my perspective of God's history and my future!

Another incredible communicator, Rob Bell delves into the historicity and context of many of Jesus' words. Understanding Where, When and to Whom Jesus said WHAT he said sheds all kinds of amazing new light on
